Default Does Sacramento have illegal aliens?

I notice in Sacramento, there aren't many people who seem illegal. Compare this to Stockton, for instance, where its noticable.

Well if you have the key to what an illegal alien looks like the INS would love to talk with you.

Drive by the Home Depot--all those guys standing on the sidewalk aren't waiting for buses. They're illegal day laborers.

There was some talk a while back to build a "day laborer" job center so the illegals would have a comfortable place to sit while waiting to be hired for under-the-table jobs. After they put it on the news, that was pretty much the end of it.

Not at all. In Sacramento they turn them into pets and nurture them.

Some people prefer belief to fact, we call those people, children, or conservatives.

In a bid to remake the enforcement of federal immigration laws, the Obama administration is deporting record numbers of illegal immigrants and auditing hundreds of businesses that blithely hire undocumented workers.

THIS STORY

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency expects to deport about 400,000 people this fiscal year, nearly 10 percent above the Bush administration's 2008 total and 25 percent more than were deported in 2007. The pace of company audits has roughly quadrupled since President George W. Bush's final year in office.
