I have been looking at apartments near SCC but I hear that there are lots of bad neighborhoods, where do you recommend is a good place to live relatively close by? I was thinking of living near CSUS but how is traffic heading to SCC from there in the morning? thanks

There's also plenty of good neighborhoods nearby. Curtis Park, Land Park, South Land Park. These are all good choices for you.

BTW, don't pay attention to Majin, unless you want to sport a bullet proof vest.

Curtis Park and Midtown are good choices for a college student and close to SCC. Land Park and South Land Park are quite nice but quieter and more expensive, without being all that much safer.

South Land Park is cheaper than Midtown.

There is also the Riverside/Pocket/Greenhaven area which is very safe, has lots of apartments, and is a 5 minute drive to Sac City.
