Possible job in Sac area
I may have a possible job working with the state in the Sac area at The Depot (old Packard-Bell site) off Power Inn/14th. I have heard you don't want to be over there, so any suggestions on where to look for housing with not too long a commute would be helpful. I am from the Santa Rosa area and am also not looking forward to being so hot.

That area isn't as bad as people say it is. What you see there is a block or two of small homes that have turned into rentals. A few blocks away are nicely-kept homes.

Yeah, you're close enough to Tahoe Park to bike to work. Tahoe Park is kind of a hidden-gem neighborhood in that part of town--access to some fairly killer Mexican and Vietnamese places along Stockton Boulevard, not too far from downtown. The old Army depot is kind of a ways from everything but give Tahoe Park and the neighborhood around Tallac Village a look.

East Sac and Carmichael are just a few minutes away using Watt Avenue or Power Innn Rd to Howe Ave. I worked on Fruitridge for a while and the drive was very easy.
