Default What type of economy is Sacramentos?

I know the economy is probably not too great in Sacramento, but I wanted to know the type of economy the city has.. Is it a service based economy or are there manufacturing jobs or factory jobs available or jobs where you may not be in a total service position?
I am coming from Tampa area FL and FL's economy is pretty service based with little opportunities for other types of jobs. I just wanted to get a general idea.

Most of the "manufacturing" in Sacramento in the past few decades has been the manufacturing of new suburbs of Sacramento, and that particular business is in the tank, and will be for a while. The big businesses in the region are primarily government (state, city and county) and healthcare. There is some manufacturing--canneries, streetcars, some tech outposts, port/warehouse/transportation (via the Port of Sacramento, Union Pacific Railroad, and the airports) and a few other things. We used to have some military bases but they are all closed now, they have been converted to private industry or social service use. There aren't any government jobs right now, manufacturing is kind of flat but at least I don't think they're laying off many people, house construction is nearly dead (aside from infill, rehab/repair of existing housing stock, and redevelopment) and there are large numbers of vacant, bank-owned properties in the suburbs.
