My family lives up in Wheatland, I believe Linda is the town right before Marysville. From what little I know about Linda I believe it is not a good place to live. High crime.

Default Used to live there

We lived there in the 80's and couldn't wait to leave. It was definitely an economically disadvantaged area and while we were there most of Linda flooded because of a levee break. (Fortunately we were just outside the flood zone). There was a lot of fog in the winter and hot in the summer. But I did love the abundance of waterfowl. In the winter swans would fly over our house in the morning and evening.

I believe that housing there is cheaper than in other nearby areas but be careful about locating in flood zones.

When I think of that area the first thing that pops in my head are the floods a few years ago... I helped for weeks with the animals that were shipped out of there to Roseville... it was pretty bad...... driving through there as I have never lived in that area, it seems a bit depressed and pretty low income.

Lightbulb First off, don't be no hater....

Linda's cheap and filled w/ potential friends. Don't act all high an mighty if you can't afford to live nowhere else. Pros: low maintence and new developments in Linda are secured w/ systems against crime. Get to know neighbors and don't be afraid to talk to peeps about your concerns. You'll be pleasently suprised at how stuck together these small, "disadvantaged areas" can be. Or, if you're that scared of crime, put all those high end items in storage. But true this: neighbors and friends are the best security against crime. You never know, you might be a help to those around you (good role model status.) Remember, most a them didn't choose to live in that area and it's society that keeps them where they are.
