Default Weekend Air Show at Mather

Is there anywhere you can see the planes/air show (when they are in the air, of course) this weekend without actually going to the show? My very young boys love planes but hate going to air shows because of the noise. I am not that far from Mather and just wondering if there is somewhere I can drive them and park - any ideas?

You might try a shopping center in RC, any public place.
Also might be able to park out by the car recycling yards on Sunrise..dunno what the cops will do...

Not sure, but Mather Field Lake Regional Park might work. And it gives the kids some room to run off a little energy. Has bathrooms there too. Very close to the airport.

4101 Eagle's Nest Rd

I hate to reveal my secret LOL, but since you have young kids as do I here it is. In Rancho Cordova drive down Zinfandel south of Hwy 50 then continue past White Rock, then past International. About 1/4 mile or so past International make a right turn on 'Spoto Drive' then go a short way to the end where there a nice park (kids playground, picnic tables, bathrooms, and a large grass field). The park is basically at the end of the Mather runway. Lots of families go there to watch the airshow so the parking lot can be crowded. However I think you can also park on the street there unless they changed that. I've been there the last 3 airshows and it's a great (and free) viewing spot and fun for the kids to keep occupied in the playground too!
