Just got caught in an obvious speed trap on el camino ave Way to spend my tax dollars

Anybody else get hit with one of these scams lately? There is virtually no way to avoid them as they set them up to virtually guarantee you will be at least 10mph over the speed limit during non-rush hours and they set up on bikes in blind spots.

I seem to avoid them all as I drive the speed limit, if not under it.

The speeding limit is way too slow. Its designed for seniors with bad vision, its not normal to be going that slow. Who goes 65 on the freeway? You'd get honked if you do!

I got hit with 50 in a 35 after the business 80 overpass. --NO ONE-- goes 35 on that street in that area during non-rush hours.

I go 65-70, never been honked.

This is why some other states make fun of California driving ...

More traffic tickets, then less government revenue from sales taxes, which is to help keep the government from going broke and having another police officer laid off due to budget cuts!

Makes a lot of cents! I mean sense!

There are few surface streets with speed limits over 45 mph. The exception is few "expressways" in the 'burbs. Most of the four-lane roadways are posted at 40 mph. If you were going 50 mph you were asking for a ticket.
