As Far as the commercial places shutting down. These establishments cannot negotiate because of their cost. It is useless to run it below positive income. It is better to close their doors and get foreclosed. It is just hard times right now. I though the early nineties was bad, this is worst than I ever expected. Real Estate are being bought by foreigners ( cash buyers ) and they turn the neighborhoods into rentals.

it is really sad. it's like that here too. i can't imagine what's coming next.
