Can't seem to find this info on the board, so I'm starting a new thread.
I'm moving to Sac for a year to do some training at the medical center, and I'd like to live within a 10 minute drive of work. Since it's only for a year, I'm primarily looking at apartment complexes rather than condos. I need to be in a place that's safe for both me, and my wife, preferably with some kind of enclosed parking, since theft and break ins seem to be common here. Given the low cost of housing in Sac, price is pretty much no object. My wife would most likely work downtown. What complexes would you recommend? |

Get closer to Midtown - sometimes there are sketchy areas around UC med Center, cuz it's on the cusp of South Sac.
midtowngrid.com, Directory for Sacramento, Midtown, Downtown Sacramento, East Sacramento and Old Saccramento Business Directory for shopping, restaurants, hotels, Sacramento's 2nd Saturday Art Walk, Entertainment and more! And try Craigslist - it will be easy |

A friend of mine is a patrol officer in the area surrounding the UCD med center. He has said over and over the crime in that area is outrageous. Try to find something that is an easy commute.
