Okay, thanks for the info. She'll only be home after work to sleep. Other then that will be out and she will not be venturing off any further South then that. I already told her to get Gas near her work in Rocklin and groceries over there, so she will pretty much just be going straight to her place without stopping anywhere in the area.

Hmm! Living in fear is not my idea of living. My wife and I lived in South Natomas for about a year and a half in 1996-97 Even in that short time-span it started going down hill as houses became rentals and "undesirables" began moving in. We left and were glad we did.

Comparing the place off Northgate to her previous neighborhood near Fruitridge, I don't think it is any worse, or maybe a bit better. Nor would I worry about shopping in the shopping centers nearby.

Yea things like shopping and every day errands should be fine in that area. Especially when you have North Natomas for shopping near by-which is safe enough during the day and sometimes at night.

Biggest issue will be property crime in that area. If you leave valuables in the car or the door unlocked, an opportunist might jack you.

But it's not so bad that you can't get gas there at 8:50 pm.
