Default Apt availibility in Midtown

I am moving to the midtown area either mid Dec or Jan. I am looking for a cheap studio or one bedroom apt around $600/mo. I know there are a lot of students living in the area. Does anyone know what school these students are from and when does the semester end and start? I think that there will be a lot more available during the break.

Probably CSUS (Sacramento State) or Sac City College. Maybe even UC Davis.

UC is on a quarter system, not sure about Sac State, Sac City is on the semester system. They have websites for more info.

It may be slim pickings around Dec & Jan, but always check out Craigslist. There's always a vacancy somewhere.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I live in midtown now and $600 will not buy you much.
My new 2br 1000 sq ft apt cost $1400 + parking.

A friend rented a studio with shared bathroom (former hotel) for $550 a month.
These are all walking dist to capitol building. I suggest you look further away
from the capitol for cheaper places. Stay away from North Sac its quite dangerous.
