Default nice area/apt around sac state?

will be working near Sac State. Are there any good areas with nice apartments around that area? is that area considered East Sac?

Howe Ave (approx where Sac State is) is probably considered the "end" of East Sac - you need to go more west to be in East Sac.

And East Sac is nice and safe for a small baby - I used to stroller my son around and go to McKinley Park all the time - plus there is River Park area RIGHT infront of Sac State - which is a nice family area (older but nice)

I lived at Cadillac Drive Apts. about 1/2 mile from Sac State and LOVE LOVE LOVED it!! I can't say enough good things about the manager and maintenance guy there. Great people and I would highly recommend that complex. It's basically at the corner of Howe and Fair Oaks and that is a very upscale neighborhood, so I think you'd love it. Check it out!

You have kids - Cadiallac drive is nice for KIDLESS people - Stick with Roseville for schools, if you can afford it

You can check out schools on the CA Dept. of Education Web site. California Department of Education. The Data Quest selection will provide demographic data and the Ed Date selection will provide you with test score data. That way, you can decide for yourself if the school district will meet your needs.

If you can handle being a little farther away, Folsom has a ton of rentals going in, the schools are excellent, and it is very safe. Most of the city is newer, so it won't be as quaint as Fair Oaks, but there might be a lot of rentals to choose from.

Why's that? I think if you have kids, it's fine. It's a very safe complex and even has a pool. Not sure why it's only good for folks with no kids.
