Thanks Cityx, that was what i was hoping to hear from someone living around the area of fruitridge. The place i saw was pretty much near the ghetto you are talking about i believe.

Oak Park is iffy - it's extremely close to South Sac and Stockton BLVD. Many people have been putting money into fixing up the vintage homes - but that does not mean you aren't close to the crud.

If you are kidless - then it's better. Good area for Starter homes

alright, i have another area i wanted to ask about for anyone who knows of this area. Near the 50 Capital City Fwy, near Q and W street, how is that area? is it still considered safer downtown area. Thanks for all the reply, honestly!

WAit - what's wrong with Downtown? Have you looked into Midtown,

I'd say the area you are referring too - is about the same as the downotwn zipcode 25814. If you don't have kids stick to zipcode 25816.

Otherwise if you have kids - go closer to East Sac or Land Park for better schools, if you are trying to be centrally located.

Oh nothing is wrong with downtown, i actually want to be in the midtown area. no kids, but i have one on the way. Was just wondering if the area around Q and W street are as good as the more eastern side (H and J street) areas since it is on the other side of the fwy.

The best way is to stay on the HIGHER numbers - I'd say 18th or 19th st or above (I lived at 22nd and at 25th)

And at the LOWER letters, from D to about T is nice ( I lived at I st and at G street)

All of those are 25816

Remember the school Midtown feeds to is on F st - and it's CRAP_OLA!!! I moved to Seattle once my child started school. I wish I would move back to Sac, but the schools up here are nicer. Sorry
