The most recent Old City Cemetery tour focused on Sacramento's bicyclists (we had a huge riding club in the 1890s), baseball players and boxers. Other tours focus on political reformers, women's history, and other special subjects--and the real treat is the nighttime Halloween tours, which ordinarily sells out months in advance! The reguar Saturday tours are free, the special events and night events sometimes charge.

(By the way, I'm typing this from the bow of the Delta King and having a burger, enjoying the river and the weather. Not enjoying yourself here would require some sincere effort to be unpleasant.

Heh, I saw you in one of SABA's pictures from the event. It sounded awesome--sad to miss it. I went to a beers, brothels, and brawlers event a few months back that was a blast. That beer and hot dogs were included in the modest ticket price didn't hurt.

The ride was fun, I missed the cemetery tour itself but met up with about 35 people, stopped at Temple/Revolution for coffee and wine halfway, and biked our way to Pizza Rock downtown. Great riding weather, too.

I am from TX and have relatives there. We have done the river boat ride and the train museum. I do think the capital is beautiful as well. It is not San Francisco, but not boring either. I have some new places to try out from this thread. :-)

The arena hasn't shut down the Delta King yet?
