We went out for mexican food in folsom. Sadly, the restaurant was closed for the day and ended up at Hacienda. Food is OK, but the outdoor upstairs patio was great. 7pm in the shade was plenty comfy with just a light breeze. I'm happy for the weather here, I have lived in much worse. I have no plans to leave anytime in the future.

If you like it chilly, the low tonight in Santa Monica is 60 and going up to a scorching 70 tomorrow, which is not unusual for this area:

But then there is that pesky cost of housing thing:

That does not happen very often. Sacramento's high is seldom under 85 in the summer and usually at least 90. It is nice to know that it can happen on occasion (unlike Phoenix which is extremely hot and generally in triple digits from June through September).

Well in the month of June this year, Sacramento's high was in the 70's for 5 days.

12 days of June were in 80's.

22 days of June were below 95 degrees.

Evening, night, and morning temps, in June, Sacramento had:

22 days in the 50's.

8 days in the 60's.

Most important, regarding comfort levels, for night and morning temps Sacramento was never above 70 degrees, unlike many places across the USA where the temps stay well above 70-85 degrees into the night and morning.

Regarding high heat: June 2013

Days over 100 degrees:

Phoenix: 30 days

Las Vegas: 12 days

Fresno: 7 days

Austin: 6 days (Austin has much higher humidity than cities listed so the heat index would should more days over 100 degrees)

Sacramento: 5 days (Not typical for Sacramento; our 100 degree days tend to be in July and Aug)
