Guess what? we are getting another pizza joint!!!
ZPizza.com How exciting

I mis-spelled. I did not mean the pizza joint Zocolo. I meant the excellent local Mexican restaurant zocalo's. There are only two in Sacramento. Really good gourmet style mexican. God forbid they put in another pizza joint. Next to hamburgers, Folsom has way too many pizza joints. Chicago fire is enough for Palladio.

The type of restaurants the Palladio should have:
Roxy
Zocalo
Scott's Seafood
Il Fornaio

That would be a good start =P

I really envy Downtown and Roseville for their great restaurants.

Folsom already has a Scott's.

I don't envy downtown or Roseville, but I can understand why you or others would feel that way. Having restaurants in those areas but not Folsom gives me incentive to plan my trips to those parts so I can visit their restaurants. It's not that far! Folsom doesn't have to be a cookie cutter restaurant scene just like the community down the road. uggg.

But I agree, we need more unique, non-chain restaurants. I really don't see the need to have our own locally owned "chains" like Zocolo. There are 2 others in the area. OTOH, I would not oppose a Hawks which I think is one of the best restaurants in the whole region. On a side note, coming from the central San Joaquin valley, I have never found a Mexican restaurant in this area that matches those in Fresno, Tulare, Kings counties (the heartland of Hispanic immigration).

hello? Many whites are native born. Are you suggesting that THEY should leave?

Totally agree with you

So you really can have it all here, as long as you don't mind driving outside the city limits. But heck, who am I to talk? I don't care much for walking outside the Grid...
Uhh ok...

Oh yes...
When you see a gangbanger, or a wanna be gangbanger, or a person milling about looking for trouble, or some tagging and you just want to see people dressed for success walking with purpose,

it means that you are a....

racist. That you don't believe that people who aren't white (the majority) should not have jobs and rights. Which is ironic, because the most ghetto thing I could think of is a bunch of people without jobs. So... which is it? Because we prefer less "ghetto", we want anybody not lily white to NOT have a job?

It is possible to hate the game but not the player... or the friggin COLOR of the player which isn't even the point. Less ghetto. Less people with hangups about color.

Statistically? Yes there are particular races that have more problems than others. Maybe this shouldn't be ignored. Maybe ignoring the problems that a particular race tends to have is akin to racism. Sticking your head in the sand doesn't help your brother.

But really, ghetto comes in all colors. The whitehoodlumsmexicanblackasiangangbangers are not so good for making an area less ghetto. Ever notice how the stockton crowd seeps into Lodi, Galt, EG. Go up the valley and there are gangs too. I mean, really, how are we ever going to be able to solve any problems when the law enforcement gets sued for racial discrimination so easily. Everybody hollers "RACISM". If there is an -ism to me and others not liking to see people acting a fool like a hoodlum hanging out in front of the strip mall or at the park it is actually "CLASSISM".

Elk Grove does have a couple of good, non-chain restraunts. Try Todo Un Poco. My favorite place to eat in the greater Sac area.
