My fiance and as well as my mother are planning to move up to Sac from Southern CA (San Fernando Valley). We found a house in North Laguna (near Valley Hi) that we really like. My finace's family doesn't think the area is that good. It is close the the North Laguna Creek Park. We are of mixed ethinicty and want to be in an area that is diverce. His family is mostly hispanic and says that the area isn't bad but there are a lot of "brothers". All of us grew up with black people (I am half Black) so that doesn't bother me. My questions is, is the area not good because there is a crime element or is it the stereotype that "light brown" (hispanic) people and "dark brown" (black) people don't really get a long?
