My house was way less than that, but I bought in 2011 at the bottom before prices started creeping back up.

Yeah, prices have come back up for sure. It's all relative though, I bought a house in 2008, and another in 2010 (still own both), so I have quite a bit of equity built up.

I can even walk to Home Depot but I might have to borrow a grocery cart to get my supplies back home!!
I have no desire to walk to work. I dont work in an industry that would support that either. I work in construction management, large scale commercial/government projects. Therefore, my company provides me a vehicle and gas card, and one day I could be driving to my office in roseville, then end my day in Stockton. I drove 30,000 miles last year for example. However, being close to my office is key (for when I need to go in), but more importantly I want to be close to recreational activities that I partake in - mainly wakeboarding, biking, running, eating, and drinking!

Congrats on the purchase!

I sincerely hope the future has in store plenty of water for Folsom Lake, but between the drought, continued population growth, and the delta plan, that wakeboarding season might be getting shorter each year.

Yep. Folsom lake is terrible wakeboarding anyways; we always launch on the Sacramento River. But it is a nice option if it has water!
