That is most likely what we will do, but with 2 big dogs & two parrots it's not always easy to find a traditional apartment. I'm thinking corporate housing or an extended stay type place might work best and that way we wouldn't have to move our furniture twice, we could store it until we found a house to buy and live out of suitcases for a month or two.

well, I know the type of house you prefer & it's not that style, but I just saw a listing in Folsom..something to consider anyways. It's usually better to work with a private LL if you have animals.

That's a nice looking house, thanks! It's probably a 1 year lease and I don't think we want to get locked in to something for that long but it's worth inquiring about

Not finding any Craftsman bungalows in Roseville?

Here's one that could be interesting if you're willing to fix up a "project" house in the cute part of Roseville, and the price is right--my guess is the house is probably a lot older than 1941.

Homes - MLS - sacbee.com

Here's one in better shape, but costs a bit more, set way back on the lot:

This one is a nice little bungalow just down the street, in decent shape but kind of a remuddle:

And another that looks more historically intact, seriously I think the dates of these houses are off by a couple of decades:

Thanks, I will look at those more in the morning. I might have missed some of them because I usually set search parameters at > 1000 sq ft. We both like 'projects' but many old homes have been badly 'neutered' with original windows replaced with cheap aluminum sliders, built ins taken out etc. that it is nearly impossible to restore them without spending a small fortune. The last few that I was watching in Roseville sold really fast - but who knows maybe something great will pop up within the next few days. The other consideration is a house with less character that makes up for its mundanity with a great location and large lot.

Thanks! I wish the one @ 120 Nevada was for sale, that's a nice looking house. I saw the listing on Elefa before but I'm not sure why we took it off our list- it might be that it showed pending on another site I will have to recheck.

Quick question, I was looking online at houses for sale in Alta-Arden and one of the houses had a description of 'up and coming neighborhood' and another said special financing due to low to moderate income tract. I am guessing that area is not one of the best places to look for a house?

another question (are you sick of me yet?) Any thoughts about this, the price seems good for what it is and being built in 59 it should have all hardwood floors 3746 Kimberly Way, Carmichael CA For Sale - Trulia

or..this one .7 acre. I love to garden and I could have a mini-farm on this one http://www.californiamoves.com/prope...699&RegionID=5
