I was excited when I saw that Roseville was going to get a Brazilian Steakhouse called Chamas e Fogo. Their website said coming soon, Spring 2014. Now the website seems to be shutdown. Does anyone know if they are still going to open?

I'm wondering, too. There's a listing for it in today's "Connect Roseville", which is published by the Sacramento Bee. It shows a website address that isn't there . . . probably the same one you're talking about. The listing shows an address at 963 Pleasant Grove Blvd, Suite 100. If I have a chance tomorrow, I'll drive by there and report back here.

Well, I drove by there. It's in the former Cloud 9 location. It's definitely a construction zone right now . . . no signage at all. All the windows are covered with black plastic and there was a huge dumpster out in front with several construction trucks there. The workers must have all been inside, so no one to ask without going into no-man's-land. I'll keep an eye on it as I drive past that location once or twice a week. If anything looks promising, I'll post it here.

Thanks for the update! I sure hope they are still on track. A Brazilian Steakhouse would a great addition to the area.

The website still seems to be shutdown. I don't understand why they are so few of them. Brazilian Steakhouses are such a great idea. You've got to love the concept!

Visalia has a great one, but it's kind a far away (3-4 hour drive). You could always top there on your way to visit Mineral King of the sequoias.

I must be the only one who can't seem to eat enough steak at these places to justify the price tag. Been to a few (including the one in Visalia) and found the food to be pretty great, but not as good as other places where I spend $30+ for an entree.
