How far are you willing to drive is you don't like the schools?
I am in Lincoln and love it here and love the schools. But they may be to far for you. Penn Valley is closer to Yuba City/Marysville and has excellent schools except the high school is in Grass Valley. I am not a fan of Nevada Union myself. There are drugs at every high school, but I have heard too many stories. But for elementary/jr high, Penn Valley is great. And if your kids are young, Nevada Union may be completely different by the time they get there because schools change depending on the kids that attend them.
