Well that was rude and uncalled for, I don't think it's "random" some of these people have lived there for years. If you don't have anything good to say just don't say anything

Owning one is no good unless you know how and, especially, when to use it. You're up in the boonies NE of Redding. I doubt very much that gangs proliferate in your area.

I lived in Sacramento for almost 20 years and had my pistol out twice in all that time.

I've lived in Sacramento my entire life, and have never once seen any gang activity, and I live where they say it's "pervasive"! There may be less nice areas but I've been all over Sacramento and you'll be fine.

hmmm, I don't find this as a factual post. If this is a true statement did you ever leave your house? Gang members are everywhere out here. I see them everyday out here. Go to a mall or a popular shopping center and I'm sure you can see atleast one gang member. The easiest way is to go to downtown plaza / k st or Arden Mall. They are everywhere.

I really think you are ignorant to the fact of what a gang member looks like. I'm willing to call a spade a spade.

^^ How do you judge if someone is a gang member? If they are any shade of brown and walking down the street, are they a gang member?

I wonder if you have seen me walking down K street and thought I was a gang member.

No....I stay away from K street there is nothing there for me. I don't want to buy weed or cheap stuff and my lady doesn't need to be harassed.

Typically gang members wear a lot of a certain color, have tattoo's etc etc. It's pretty easy actually. Gang members use sports clothing to signify who they represent and where they are from. Our beloved "SK" kings hat means "scrap killer" to Nortenos.

Do I really need to lay out how to identify a gang member? I will do the easiest one for you. A Mexican male between lets say 14 and 35 walking down the street with red plaid shorts, white t shirt, red hat, black shoes and a red belt and maybe even some girls name tattooed on the neck? What is he? Is he a honest hard working non criminal tax payer? I doubt it. I would be willing to bet $1,000 everytime on Norteno. I'm not a gambler but understand who is what.

So you know, I grew up amongst gangs and pretty much know what I'm looking at. Sorry you don't understand.

Whoa.. People on here making sacramento sound like iraq or something. its not that bad. Look dont mess wit the gangs nd they usually wont mess with you. Even if you live in a gang neighborhood the chances of them just messing with you for fun is low. Unles u out late night at like a gas station and its a group of them around. then pretty much thats your fault for being stupid. gangs in sac usually just fight other gangs or each other. if you have kids i would not move to south sac not even pocket gangs are in the schools around there. west sac east sac elk grove or like rocklin is probaly the best places to raise your kids. sacramento is not that bad. stop scaring people on here.

Apparently the No Child Left Behind program left some children behind.
