I filled it out, but I really wonder if the city even reads these things.

Probably not, it's a very poorly run city. Roseville, rocklin, Lincoln, and Folsom, El dorado Hills are exceptional.

Agree, it's doubtful. Generally when they do ask for public input they just try harder to do the opposite. Arena and everything around the arena. Public didn't want the arena. So they just backdoored it. Public didn't want to sell the municipal parking and its revenue sold to backfill the arena costs. They got that. Turns out they're not getting enough money from that. Nobody really wants the free after 6 p.m. parking to be changed to 2 a.m., but chances are they'll get that too. No real reason for it. It's not like it's hard to park in the vast majority of the metered areas after 6 p.m. They just need the extra revenue and aren't concerned with what it does to businesses in the area. Voters reject the strong-mayor proposal, so immediately the council and mayor turn around and vote to involve themselves more directly in the budget-making process. More ways than one to skin the cat, I guess. If those pesky voters won't give us the discretion to do whatever we want, we'll just horse trade for it so if we don't get what we want, then they won't get a budget. I guess the silver lining is even KJ knows he's so unpopular he can't win reelection again.

Instead it'll (most likely) be either more of the same with Steinberg (council's good-old-boy candidate) or Ashby (public employees union candidate). Hurray for some real change we can believe in /sarcasm. Actually, I kind of like Ashby, but that's just the reality. Only way she has a chance is as being the public employee union puppet.

KJ would definitely win a re-election. Since Sac mayor votes happen during presidential elections, he would have no problem.

Now if it was on some off year, where only the angry white people come out to vote, than yes, he would lose.
