Hello everyone, I will be renting a place in boulevard park (G & 18th ish) and am considering a job in Davis at 23 Russell Blvd. About 18 miles. I'm not too familiar with drive times to Davis. Realistically, working a mon-fri 8-5, how long of a commute should i expect? Thank you!

Google maps lets you search for routes and travel times at different times of the day. You can specify your arrival (or departure) time and let google tell you how long the trip will take.

Just go to google maps (http://www.maps.google.com) and enter your starting and ending locations. When google has found a route for you, look for the drop box that says "Leave now". Click that to enter different arrival times.

Google maps's answer is probably more accurate than the personal opinions here. Of course, google will just give you an average travel time and cannot predict accidents or road repairs that might significantly impact your travel time.

Yolo Bypass Causeway is almost always a bottleneck. I would expect 30 min or more, and probably 45 min on Friday afternoon.

Just use Google Maps. It's accurate for most things. If it gives you a huge range, that's because there's a huge range. I imagine they're doing something like 95th percentile for range. For freeways it's pretty accurate, much less so for surface streets.
