Hi

i am driving from Reno to Sunnyvale tomorrow. The current weather report says there is snow tomorrow over Donner Pass. Is there anyway to find out if chains will be requirement tomorrow based on the current report. Seems that the snow starts at 5am so i am thinking of getting up really early and leave early.

thanks.

This will tell you about current conditions/requirements on I80. I don't know if there's a way to find future conditions/requirements.

I can tell you that as of 7am today, chains are required over donner pass, and if the weather predictions of a lot of snow falling in the next day stay true, you will be required to have chains when you get to Donner Pass tomorrow morning.
