Hello, I am considering moving here from Kansas. I am interested in knowing if this area is considered safe? I am moving with my family so I am just double checking.

If I'm correct, River Plaza Drive runs through the newer portion of South Natomas. That area seems pretty safe as compared to east of I-5.

Agree ^^

Depends on your definition of safe. You may want to check the crime maps (not allowed to post here) to see if it's ok for you. I do believe that petty crime is on the rise everywhere due to the Ca prison realignment project.

The only thing I would caution you on, is that it is in the flood zone. Even though we've been in a drought for years, this area has flooded in the past.

My understanding is the same as Sacreole's. It is a nice looking area, so I researched it a couple of years ago when I was looking to buy a home. Surprisingly, the crime in that area is relatively high. Doesn't seem like the safest area.
