I accidentally ran the right light at Alhambra & J earlier tonight, the one with the red light camera. It was a long day, I was exhausted and somehow thought I had green light. It was my fault and I am willing to pay the fine. Only thing is the car is registered to my mom who lives in Southern California and I don't want her to receive the letter, and there is the extended gap between receiving the letter and paying the fine, since I think there is a 15 day deadline. So, is there a way for me to preemptively pay the fine?

Also, I only need to pay the fine, right? No mandatory school? This would be my first traffic offense, I was never even gotten stopped by a cop.

Only about half of the photos result in citations being issued.

If you receive a ticket you can go to court and possibly receive a reduction in the fine and go to traffic school, which will prevent a point from being issued on your driving record.

You may have to let it run its course. But you could pick up the phone?

Correct me if I am wrong, but the company in charge of reviewing the photos will attempt to match the photo of the driver with the registered owner of the veichle. Since you are not that person, they will have trouble proving who was driving. See, for example:
