Default Relocating to Sacramento...jobs, housing, cost of living

First off, thank you so much for taking a look at this, especially considering there are a ton of threads regarding relocation. My husband and i live in a suburb of Chicago, IL and we hate these winters. We are both turning 25 this year and we dont have kids but keep it in to consideration for a few years down the road. We are looking to move to Sacramento...I know, Rocklin, Roseville, Folsom are decent areas to move to and from what i have noticed, reasonably priced regarding both apartments and condos. (Please jump in here if im mistaken). We dont have jobs that we are being transferred to, so i am asking for your help on this one. What is the job outlook for your area? What is the income for jobs like Retail, Construction, Administrative Work, Counselor...I am graduating with my masters in psychology this May and have experience working with children who have been abused. My husband is a brick mason looking for a new career..HELP. I dont know if gas and groceries and things like that are more expensive in your area compared to here. Looking to fly out there this summer to really investigate things, but any help from you would be appreciated.
