Default North Natomas-area Preschool

Hello,
We are looking for recommendations for a preschool for our 4-year old boy. Ideally we'd like to find a Christian-based school but are open to anything really in the area. We wouldn't mind driving out of the Natomas area as well if it isn't across town. We will be moving to the area in mid-April.

Thanks!

Peace Lutheran Church in Natomas has a preschool that is highly regarded. We're Episcopalian and I thought it would be a great match. However, the teacher was a little too rigid for my liking (they're 3 & 4 yr olds!). They have a waitlist. I did not hear good things about the Montessori in Natomas nor did I like many of the other places - they were like puppy mills!

I did check out Early Childhood Learning Center up on Del Paso Rd near all the new grocery stores, malls, etc. It's set back from the road. The director Nanette was very kind and I think it may work for us. I'm still looking just to make sure (my husband keeps insisting that something near his office would be good but it seems too urban to me).

Let me know what you find!

Thanks for the response...I also saw the Peace Lutheran church, thanks for the feedback on that. The only other school I found that was close was the Merryhill school on Danbrook. We are moving next week so I haven't been able to to make a visit, have you been to this site? I'm thinking that this is what you are referring to the puppy mill...glorified day care.

I'll add the Early Childhood Learning Center to our list...Thanks!!

Just to Piggyback off Cvilleliz's comments, my son and I have been very pleased with his experience at the Early Childhood Learning Center of Natomas the past two years. It's near the large Golds Gym off of Del Paso.

Nanette (the Director) has been a breath of fresh air to work with in all aspects (had very poor experience with my sons first daycare).

I think what I appreciate most is that the teachers really have taken the time to sit down with me and go over my sons progress.

I could go on and on about pleasant experiences but hopefully you've found the right fit for you and your child by now, for anyone still looking i'd recommend ECLCN everyday of the week and twice on Sundays

Best Wishes

Janice

PS: Oh and by the way, they have excellent holiday parties, great time to meet the other parents and children.

I've been looking at that new Merryhill preschool that opened up on San Juan Ave. Anyone have any input on that location?
