Default moving to Sac!!..Need help in looking Apts!

Hi ppl,

I am moving to sac from tx. I have been reading reports and statisitcs that say sac has lots of car thefts and house break ins.

1) Is this true or an exaggerrated info?

2) Can somebody help me locate intersections or specific areas or apartments names where car break ins and burglary is less (preferably zero ) and I can move in.

I have no idea about sacramento and its neighborhood. Any suggestions regarding safe apartments would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

G

Well always the first question is where are you going to commute? There are areas that yes, you should stay away from but that is like anywhere.

Sacramento is extremely spread out. Not sure from where in Texas you are from, but we are actually moving out to Fort Worth. It kind of reminds me of the area because it is so spread out and there are lots of little suburbs that you can live in.

You also need to find out the budget you want to spend. We have a lot of apartments that have garages here as well. You can go to our local NBC affiliate's website (www.thekcrachannel.com) and they just started linking crime statistics. Also you can go to the Sacramento Police Department's website and it will show you the reports and list geographically where things are happening.

As soon as you let me know where you will be commuting to, I can try to pin point some areas that I can recommend you checking out.

Thanks a lot. Actually I am moving out of DFW to Sac. I need to stay close to hospitals and I guess those are mostly in the 95826 and 95825 areas. Please suggest me some places were I can look out for safe apts. My budget is close to $1000 single bedroom. I really wunt mind a 10 mile drive if that place to safe for my car and house.

Thanks
