Hi guys,

Looking to move to Loomis/Rocklin area. We prefer Loomis. How is the area?
I heard schools are good but realtor told me there might be overcrowding of schools and they do not guarantee the spot for kids in the school there. There will be bus that will take kids to surrounding schools.
Is the situation that bad?
We are moving because of good schools, so this sounded weird to us.

I see prices are dropping now.

I hope someone from the area can give us some inside info about this.

Thank you!

Loomis is a cute little town with current growing pains: Development

"How is the area?" is kind of a vague question. Loomis addresses include properties in town and also in a lot of rural areas, including Granite Bay. What are you looking for?

Prices are dropping because of the usual seasonal slump. You may be able to pick up a good deal on something that fell out of escrow.

I don't have school age children, so can't comment on any overcrowding issues. I do live in the greater Loomis area, though not in the town itself.

Your very best bet is to call the school or school district directly and ask about this issue.

Loomis seems nice to me but it does vary in style and price depending on location.
