Is there any place in Sacramento to get a funnel cake? I have a good friend who's never had one and I can't convince her to go all thw way to Six Flags for a funnel cake.

Do any restaurants make them?

I would think fairs would be good. Also, a lot of outdoor events that serve food. The Iowa State Fair (which is listed on the top 100 things to do before you die) has the best in the world.

Knott's Berry Farm!!!!!
The best I've ever had in my life!
It's only a seven hour drive each way. Six hours if you leave really early in the morning.

Isn't the CInco De Mayo thing happening at Cal Expo? They always have either funnel cakes or a fried pastry thing with sugar (elephant ear?)

I only see funnel cakes at the fairs. County and State fairs here both have them. Aren't they so greasy and yummy? Extra powdered sugar please!

If you go into Old Town Sac-The part that looks like a Western Town there are shops that sell them. Plus, it's just a really neat place. They've added some awesome tours on seigways if you don't want to walk.
