Question Give me 10 reason to move to Sacramento?

Born in the LA CA now in Utah and hate it and want to move back to either Orange County again or for a change Sacramento.

Give me 10 reason to move to Sacramento over Orange County CA?
Thanks

uh, I'm probably one of Sacramento's biggest boosters and I can't think of three. Just move back to Orange County.

1. Centrally located; one-and-a-half hours to Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, and Napa/Sonoma
2. Cleaner air than LA
3. Although we have some bad traffic, it's not as ugly as LA
4. Ability to use Light Rail to get into downtown
5. Lower price per square foot for homes
6. Recreation = Folsom Lake, American River biking trail, walking and biking trails through Roseville and Rocklin, white water rafting/kayaking, professional basketball and baseball teams
7. Great schools, depending upon which area you live in
8. Friendly people, for the most part, especially in areas where everyone is new to the neighborhood
9. Lots of historical and political points of interest
10. Markedly lower electrical rates for Sacramento and Roseville than So Cal Edison

I adore Sac too - and I'm also from Santa Monica and even I know it's hard to top Orange County

I'll give some good points

Traffic is better
Farther from big LA gangs
Smaller town feel
Change of Seasons
Rivers instead of Ocean (which I like better, I know that's a preference)
CHEAPER
Really tall Oak trees
Close to wine country
Better skiing (if you are into that)

I am moving to Sacramento in a couple of months, but if I could afford it, I would move to So. Cal.

A lot of the reasons to choose one place or another are awfully subjective: for example, if you prefer a county where people tend to vote Democrat, Sacramento is the obvious choice, whereas if you vote Republican, Orange County would be a better choice.

There are other factors to consider--are you comparing Orange County as a whole to Sacramento County as a whole, or a specific city within Orange County to the city of Sacramento in particular--or the Sacramento region, which includes the surrounding counties?

I can certainly point to some of the examples given above, but many people aren't comparing Sacramento to Orange County, they're comparing Sacramento to Los Angeles. That's not a fair comparison either--you might as well compare Los Angeles to San Francisco, because San Francisco is about as far from Sacramento as much of Orange County is from Los Angeles.

Just asking for a top-ten list doesn't give you much good information. Tell us what you're looking for in a city and people might be able to give you an idea of whether or not it can be found here.

I may not be a huge fan of Sac. I live in Placer County.
But I would pick it over Orange County.

1. Cost of Living
2. Sacramento region is one of the most affordable areas in the state.
3. Diversity of people.
4. Less traffic then Southern CA
5. Close to SF, Tahoe, Wine Country, Mountains, Rivers, Lake
6. The Weather, Delta Breezes.
7. Sacramento contains more than 2,000 acres of natural and developed parkland
8. Kings
9. Old Sacramento
10. The Trees

move to Sacramento
The weather is windy,wet,hot,dry, cold
The people are rude,mean
The drivers are all under the influence of drugs and alcohol
The gas, house, and food prices are means to get a second job.
You have to wait in line till social security before you get a turn to check out.
You need a lockbox on everything you own.
The airport is needing to add on for those in a big hurry to get away.
9 out 10 people have cancer
gangs, murder, heart attacks, are at a record high
last but not least, children are droping out of school for video entertainment.
