Anybody know the mass transit options for getting to/from Sac to Auburn. Amtrak runs a train once a day but the times don't work for me. They have Thruway buses with other times but at least one trip has to be by train. Are their any other trains beside Amtrak that run this route ? I've tried searching Sac transit site but I can seem to see anything that would work.
Thanks |

The only passenger trains between Sacramento and Auburn are the California Zephyr and the Capitol Corridor. I assume you were looking at the Capitol Corridor schedule:
http://www.capitolcorridor.org/inclu..._schedules.pdf and yeah, that's pretty much it--one train and several buses. The California Zephyr is the long-haul train from Chicago to Emeryville, often several hours late and more expensive, so it's probably not a good option. Auburn is pretty much outside of mass transit radius for Sacramento, other than that one train. Placer County doesn't really care about such things. |
