Default I need Bike Route help

Does American River Parkway go directly from Folsom to Zinfadel Dr? I need to get from Old Folsom (I think) to Zinfadel...

And about how long do you think it would take by bike - at a casual speed.

Then another part: If I took light rail back, how do I get my bike on the train? Does it lock up somewhere? (I would only do this once the afternoons start hitting over 95)

I'm thinking of biking to work. For exercise and saving money

PS: I don't recall the American River Parkway always called a parkway - didn't at one time it was called the "American River Bike Trail"?

CityGirl72,

I will try to ask a guy I work with who bikes to work (Watt/El Camino) from Folsom on the American River Trail. He does live on the north side of the river though.

Hopefully, others have better info.

gotpancit is on a distinguished road
You are talking about a good one hour bike ride. I think the easiest way is to hop onto the bike trail from folsom bridge or there abouts, and ride until you get to sunrise blvd then ride up sunrise towards folsom then folsom to zinfandel.

You can take your bike on the light rail. According to my biking friend, they have bike racks in each car. He also says that you can keep your bike with you if the train is not crowded.
