I'm getting close to closing escrow and need to come up with a home owners insurance policy. I've contacted my car insurance company's broker, and he said my car insurance company doesnt have a home owners policy. I thought Progressive did. Well when i went onto progressives site to see if I could get an estimate I did. It ended up being pretty high $1400/year!

So I checked out an insurance company by the name of Travelers and got a hold of someone on the phone really quick and started chugging away at my home owners quote. To make a long story short, it was $815/yr AND car insurance was $90 cheaper a month!

Should I pull the trigger, or is there something that they are hiding from me and when they write the policy those prices disappear?

*haha i just saw this on youtube. Travelers has some pretty good comercials:

Liberty Mutual offers excellent homeowner's policies. They have a main Sacramento claims and sales office in the Arden area. This company is time tested and massive back east, and they are starting to create a name for themselves on the West Coast. They have a number of other companies under their umbrella (Safeco, Prudential, to name a few).

Check out one of their commercials:
