Default Areas for homes between Oroville and Chico

We have just moved out here from Wilson, NC and are cking out the area. I am working in Oroville and my husband works by Chico Airport. Any ideas on some good neighborhoods between both places?

Check out Paradise which is more or less between the two towns. Paradise is at a higher elevation than anything in the Sacramento Valley. The area is wooded with pines and the summers are a little cooler than down in the valley. For recreation, there is nearby Lake Oroville Lake Oroville

East foothill locations, or a new subdivisions in Thermalito for Oroville(easier commute). For Chico, near Bidwell park, esp. east of the highway. Paradise is good too, but dont go too far off main roads in any mountain area.
