Default School districts in the Roseville/Granite Bay area?

What are they and which ones would you recommend shooting for if you were moving to the area? Where would you have to live to be in the best school districts? If we do move back to CA, I don't want to have to pay for private school, which was one of the reasons we moved out of CA in the first place.

Any good resources that have data on the districts, and allow you to compare to other districts?

In addition to Greatschools.net, I would do a preliminary screen of schools here. You will probably have to zoom in a few times to see the Sacramento region.

California School Performance Maps

Then I would look at the actual API test scores here. You might want to look at the API base numbers as well as the API growth numbers. Then if you see a school you are interested in, click on it. When you do you will see a break down of the average level of parental education, ethnicity of the students and how many kids are recieving reduced priced lunches.

For elementary, there are 3 districts (Dry Creek in extreme west Roseville, Roseville City in the rest, and Eureka Union in Granite Bay). For high school, both Roseville and GB funnel to the same district. Granite Bay's schools would be the best, but all of these schools are comparatively very good. I agree on greatschools.net for some comparison shopping.
