Question Vacaville High Schools?

We are relocating to Northern Cal. from SoCal. Need to stay in or surrounding Vacaville for work reasons. I haven't read too many good things about high schools in the areas except for Davis and we can't afford to live there. Wanted to be in new development in Woodland but...read some questionable things about Woodland. Thanks for any help!

Try Winters. Low Crime wonderful community. It is a small town 15 minutes North of Vacaville. I grew up and went to school in Vacaville. Moved to Winters 16 years ago and you could not drag me out. All 3 of my grand daughters are in the Winters school system. We moved our daughter out of Vacaville when she was a Junior in high school and put her in to the Winters school district, she loved it. We have been very happy with Winters. Just my view. check it out.

As a graduate of Vacaville High School myself, I have to say the schools are terrible, its sort of like going to a prison as there are so many fights there, its just a mess.. if your kids have to go to school there then make sure they get into the honors programs so they can be around people who aren't total gangbanger wannabes / drug users, etc

I went to Vaca high as well-(graduated even)-in the early '80s.
The athletic coaches are still teaching the math and english classes-When I can't do simple math I just say-it's because I'm a Vaca high graduate.
my nieces and nephews all went to Vanden-its decent. Will C. Wood is a rough school-so are the houses in its surrounding area.
Winters is tiny-still. If you like tiny rural areas its great. Not much happens there, good and bad.

My 3 children all went to Vacaville High and we were very happy with it. Many of the kids attending there also had their parents and grandparents attend there. Nice teachers that really care, and a much safer school than Will C. Wood or ANY of the high schools in Fairfield.

I graduated from Vaca High in the late 80's and I can do simple math just fine. As a matter of fact, I can even do higher math (think Calculus) with no problem. You have to put something into your education to get something out of it. I also never took a Math or English class that was taught by a coach.
I think Vacaville is a much better choice than Fairfield or Winters.
