Default Temporary housing in Sacramento?

Temporary housing in Sacramento

Hi, I've been looking for apartments in Sacramento/Roseville area, and found out that most of them require at least 6 months lease. What happen is that I might transfer to somewhere else in January, and I won't be sure until the end of November. So I would like to know, besides apartments, is it possible to find just a room for rent? Is it going to be hard to find? I am in LA now and in LA renting a room requires only 3 months contract. Is it the same in Sacramento area? or is it hard to find somewhere to rent month by month? My budget for the apartment is about 750/month, but I expect that renting a room from a family would be cheaper.. Where should I look for those families renting out only one room?

Are you on your own, just looking for a room somewhere? You could try to sublease from a student near Sac State or in Davis. You might be able to find an empty spot that belongs to a student studying aboard who will come back in January for Winter Quarter/Spring Semester, or someone who's leaving over winter break.
