Like $215 a month? YOu will need to be a roommate or rent a room in someone's house. I haven't seen that price in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time - my studio was $375 at the cheapest in 1996

You might have better luck on the North Coast. You can still find places with relatively cheap rent in Humboldt or Arcata, CA, but it may still be more rent than you are prepared to pay.

Sacramento is about a hundred miles from the ocean, so no sand or surf anywhere nearby. There really isn't cheap rent anywhere in California, and work is tough to find too. I'd say look elsewhere.
