Default Parking on street in Granite Bay?

I just moved from LA to Granite Bay. It's a very nice area. I thought the place I live is in Roseville, but it's actually in Granite Bay. Do I have to buy a parking permit to park on the street in Granite Bay? How much is the permit and where else can I find the information?

Just make sure first that there aren't any of the little squared off tick marks denoting parking spots in your neighborhood. If there are, you'll need to park in those. If they're there and you don't park in them the HOA/guy who owns the house you're in front of can technically get mad about it. Of course, most of the actual boulevards and parkways outside of the neighborhoods are no parking.
