Filing taxes for the first time...
So i decided to file taxes for my first time this year and have some questions. I started working last year selling produce at flea markets on the weekends (i have my own business license). I only worked for about 4-5 months, summer and spring, and when the weather started getting cold and rainy i stopped to focus on school. I went and talked to one of those jackson hewitt branches and i was told i would need to provide some sort of proof of business expenses and bank statements. I don't really have any proof of expenses (i would pay cash for gas, haven't kept the receipts from the spaces i would rent at the flea market) so what kind of proof can i provide? The bank statements don't help much either since i would pay my car payment (via western union most of the time, which i can't prove either), keep some money to spend and i would deposit the remaining, very little money at the bank. Is it ok if i don't have anything to prove? will i have to pay any money back because i can't provide any business expense proof? Will there be a problem if i filed this year due to the fact that my parents already filed and have claimed me?
