Question Sac state university

I am thinking of applying to Sacramento state next year and I need to know what are some good areas to live in that are not too far from the university and also have a good elementary school nearby? Thanks in advance! Also not to expensive maybe like $1100 a month. I currently live in the bay area so $1100 a month is a deal.

East Sacramento or Campus Commons are close to the university, pretty nice neighborhoods within walking or biking distance, both have pretty good elementary schools. Rents aren't the cheapest but $1100 a month is do-able.

Rents in Sacramento are pretty cheap. You should have no problem finding something for $1100 a month.

I have friends that live in the area, so why not think about living near the college? They all seem to like the area. Also, $1100 a month is probably a lot more than you'll need to pay ... prices in Sacramento are great compared to the Bay Area!

I'm actually in grad school at Sac. State (but I live downtown for now because that's where I work). It's not a bad school, but it depends on the program you want to do.
