Help With Area and Apartment In Sacramento... (apartments, crime)

Is anybody familiar with the Vintage Knolls Senior Apartments near Fulton, Howe, and El Camino? If anybody is could you ell me what the apartment building is like (nice or a dump) and just as importantly what is the area around it like? Is it safe to walk around there after dark or a crime area? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I don't know much about the complex itself. That area has a lot of apartments. Its a blue collar neighborhood with a substantial African American population and a growing hispanic population. I probably would avoid spending a lot of time at the Howe Park after dark, but the park is nice during the daytime.

The bigger problem at about walking around in that neighborhood at night is that it just isn't well lit.

What are your other alternatives?
