Thanks so much for the reply about Orangevale! How long did you live there? What were the positives/negatives?

Thanks

Oldschooler81 is on a distinguished road
I was just looking for any information or places to talk about Orangevale and suburban Sac, and found this thread.

Anyway I lived there from 1990 to '95, basically through my late childhood and early teens (I went to middle school there for a year). What I liked about it is that it's nice and suburban feeling, but there's stuff to do and lots of places in fairly close proximity. All the towns run together, although Folsom is right to the east and that's a teeny bit more rural.

I've recently done lots of looking around on Google Earth and Streetview just to see what stuff looks like now. Other than renovating some of the shopping centers (they still had the classic 80s look then - I miss that), for the most part it seems the same as when I was there. Surprisingly rent prices aren't much different than they were back then too (compared with the dollar value, it might even be LESS now!).
