[quote=Mossy;9441965]We have friends moving out and it has been tough for them to decide where to live. They are picking btw. Davis and Placerville.

Davis: "Green" minded, liberal leaning and quaint, but expensive.
Placerville: Monster truck, gun-toting mentaility and has a very Republican/red-neck mindset.

Excuse me, I notice that your location is Shingle Springs...how is that in comparison to Placerville "proper" ? I notice that it is near Camerson Park, are these communities inexpensive to live in and are they suburbs or ?

Obviosly your lack of open mindedness is resented.

davis... uptight and fake "green" far from liberal and flat and crowded.

Placerville...Real

Tibetan monks stay here, there are quite a few cowboys left, but it has gentrified. Being an older cauc dad with a chinese daughter .I can say this.
Being a liberal, older hippie jewboy who moved from NY 2 yrs ago I can say Placerville much less right than it used to be. Where are the foothills, the mountains in Davis?

Grammar school and junior high/part of high school. College I spent in the Los Rios Community College district around Sacramento. Just because the elementary schools have high standards doesn't mean they're friendly. Beware.
