WestPark, Roseville. (Rocklin: houses, middle school, shops)

Any info on the proposed Town Center in WestPark, Roseville? Will it ever be built?

Ever is a long time, I guess sometime it will be built.

I was up in the Roseville and Rocklin area this weekend, and the number of large vacant stores is rather disturbing. I also noticed a lot of smaller centers where names of stores had been taken down, so I guess my summary answer to you is that I doubt anything substantial will be built until the current structures are filled again. I know WestPark isn't next to the current retail centers, but based upon the investments already made by developers, I just don't see this happening within the next few years.

The stores will follow the houses, so wait til fuller build-out of WestPark and Fiddyment Farms, which will be years still. At least it's moving faster than most new areas, but the shops will rely on those local residents to shop there and there aren't enough to support them yet.

There are currently two new parks in the West Park site that have just started development. One of the parks is next to the Elementry School (Junction Elementry) and one is next to the Middle School. Supposedly they're to be finished in 8 months.
