Default Used Office Furniture

Does anyone know where I can pick up some really cheap used office furniture? All I need are a few cabinets and desks.

There was to be a place called Big Al's at 325 N16th Street. New furniture, very very cheap. I have not been down there in years but it's probably still there.

There is a big one in Rancho Cordova off of Sunrise/Folsom. We furnished our full office there. They get a lot of used insurance stuff and so a lot of it is new but used and inexpensive. I can't remember the name as it has been years but I believe it starts with a J...like Jefferies?

On June 2, 2007 (just missed the one on April 21) the California Dept. of General Services will hold an auction at their surplus property warehouse in Natomas that will be open to the public. Here is their Web site if you want to check this out further. Their prices are REALLY low.

Default Thanks for the information...

KidBlue,

Have you been to the car auctions they have listed as well? I have been to some car auctions before. It ends up being too expensive.

I will definitely go the general auction for filing cabinets and desks and such.

I haven't checked out the car auctions. I usually buy new from Thompson's Toyota in Placerville.

Last time the Dept. of General Services held a public furniture/office equipment sale, it was really popular. So many people checked it out, it made the evening news. Everyone was saying there were great buys. Good luck.

There's also Rulands Office Furniture downtown on 16th Street ... used stuff, some decent, some old and kind of trashed. It's hit and miss.
