Default Cellphone companies

What's the best cellphone company in the area? What gets the best reception? I have Verizon which gets great reception in Arizona, but was wondering how it does in the Sac area.

I have always used Verizon. While in Sacramento I never once had a call dropped. Great reception everywhere.

I also use Verizon and haven't had any trouble. Verizon bought out Mountain Cellular and has better analog service too. I hear they are switching over to all digital. I use Verizon all over the Sacramento area and also in the central valley and the coast near Santa Cruz and haven't had any problems.

Default Another vote for Verizon

I, too, have used Verizon (and its predecessors!) for many years. I have friends who use other carriers, and I'm the only one who doesn't have problems with reception or dropped calls. So I say go Verizon all the way!

OK, this is silly.
Why extend any contracts when moving?
My wife and I have been on our T-mobile account for way beyond our contract period. So we have been on a per month contract till we make a new contract. Or until we find a provider that will meet our needs.

I found that with Cingular Wireless, every time I entered a certain part of Rancho Cordova, I lost my cell phone signal. I switched to Sprint and this was no longer a problem. I've had great service with Sprint.
